A new media artist and serial entrepreneur, Pagel has managed award-winning digital media, web and interactive marketing projects for Fortune 500 companies, including Apple, Microsoft, AMD, Schlumberger, Motorola as well as the legendary frogdesign -- designers of the original Mac. He was Creative Director at MongoMusic, acquired by Microsoft in 2000, and created interactive video and was one of the first employees at Human Code, acquired by Sapient also in 2000. His experience includes software development, design, branding and advertising.
Pagel has been involved in video production, scripting and storyboarding, casting, directing, editing, post-production, mastering and encoding for numerous media outlets, online and offline. In 1994, he assisted in the creation of that year’s SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas. He was producer and director of more than thirty award-winning consumer and B2B CD-ROM and web projects. First creating video clips for the Internet in 1996, Pagel’s talent has been acknowledged by more than 60 industry awards, including Best of Show at the 2003 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and several of New Media Magazine’s Invision Awards.
A sought-after speaker, Pagel participates in a multitude of industry trade shows and events.
Earning a post-graduate degree in Fine Arts, Pagel graduated with distinction from the University of Sydney, Australia. He also has degrees in Management and studied Chemical Engineering at Rice University.
